The history of our house in St. Anton am Arlberg

Traditionell and modern – holiday in Tirol

Our small house, today hosting our PETE Alpine Boutique Hotel, is located in the center of the pedestrian zone in St. Anton am Arlberg, the most popular ski resort in the western part of Tyrol. When rebuilding the house in 2013 we decided to retrace the Tyrolean architecture and complete the style with modern elementsNatural light falling through large windows, walls made of stone and furniture designed out of old wood create a warm and cozy atmosphere.
Arrive at our snug refuge, feel at home and experience some of our Tyrolean traditions. Take a deep breath and enjoy the incredible mountain view. At PETEs you are "right in the middle of St. Antons vibrant center" and yet our small Hotel will await you in peace and quiet, a place to calm down and enjoy.

History

Kathrin Gohl’s grandparents, Hanni and Emil Tschol, first built the house in the year 1952 (after WW 2). The house was already three stories high, but because the third floor was built offset towards the back of the house, it wasnt visible from the pedestrian zone.
The cozy alcove in the front of the building is still at its original place. Until the mid 90ies Hanni and Emil Tschol rented out the rooms to guests from all over the world. Until the spring of 2013 the rooms were used by staff of Sport Pete. In April 2013, the house was completely demolished and newly built by December 2013. Shining in a bright new light at its original location!
Today the small house hosts our Boutique Hotel with 6 rooms, a generous breakfast room and Lounge / Honesty Bar as well as our Sport PETE Shop, offering high quality outdoor garments since 1991.
We look forward to welcoming you soon! Warm regards, Family Gohl
